A Lansing man is behind bars after he led both township and city police on a chase.
Officials tell us that township officers tried to pull the 26-year-old driver over for speeding. This happened shortly after 11 Wednesday night near Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and St. Joseph Street.
The driver took off and jumped on I-496, when officers decided to back down.
A short time later, city police spotted the same man driving down Saginaw, near Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.
This time when officers tried to pull him over, he pulled into a backyard and took off running.
The man was arrested shortly after.
