Governor To Propose Raising Car Registration Fees

Governor Rick Snyder could propose raising registration fees by up to $125 per car to help pay to fix Michigan's roads.

That's according to an exclusive report by 6 News Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick.

The move could raise much of the $1.4 billion needed to fix the roads.

Snyder has apparently floated the idea by House Democrats, hoping they'll help make up for some Republicans who are leery about the plan.

Skubick will have more on this story tonight on 6 News at 6.
