About the author
Lacey Lafferty, retired Delaware State Trooper, model and agricultural businesswoman, resides in Laurel, Delaware with her seven-year-old daughter Lacey Lynn. Lafferty received during her rewarding career in the Delaware State Police an Excellence Performance Award from Governor Minner in 2007.

When faced with a life threatening illness in 2009, the thought of leaving her daughter without a mother’s insight of life’s everyday challenges inspired Lafferty to write Messages from a Mother.
