400 New Jobs, State-of-the-Art Facility Comes to Mid-Michigan


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Norplas Industries, Inc. announced Wednesday they'll open a new 350,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Delta Township.

The company plans to invest $75 million and create 400 jobs in the Lansing economy. Mid-Michigan was chosen over several other places across the state as well as out of state.

Norplas received approval from the MSF Board for $2 million in economic incentives.

The president and CEO of the Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP), Bob Trezise, says he believes building the facility and creation of jobs may be the largest, new manufacturer to come to the region in the last 15 years.

Norplas is a a manufacturing division of Magna Exteriors and Interiors.
