Teacher On Leave After Allegedly Posting Inappropriate FB Comments

A Northwest High School teacher in Jackson County is on paid leave following allegations of inappropriate Facebook comments on a female student's page.

He is now under investigation with local law enforcement and school officials. The school has scheduled an interview with the teacher next week.

The Northwest Community School District's Superintendent Geoff Bontrager said those allegations warranted putting that teacher on paid leave that very day.

Bontrager did say that it's of the utmost importance that they be fair, accurate and thorough for the teacher's and of course, the student's sake. No decision has been made on his future employment.

Officials aren't saying what that post entailed.
