A judge has decided the suspect in the highway shooting case is competent to stand trial.
A Livingston County judge made the ruling on Raulie Casteel on Wednesday morning.
The decision clears the way for the Attorney General's office to proceed with its case against him.
Police and prosecutors believe that he is that person responsible for a series of shooting along a Mid-Michigan highway in October. The two dozen shootings spanned four counties.
In November, a Livingston County judge ordered 43-year-old Casteel to undergo the competency exam.
He faces seven felony charges in Livingston County including terrorism. He also faces 60 other charges in Oakland County. If convicted Casteel could spend the rest of his life behind bars.
