Suspected Highway Shooter Back in Oakland Court

The man suspected of terrorizing Michigan highways was back in an Oakland County court Thursday.

The prosecutor has decided to try him seperately.

Prosecutors believe Casteel shot nearly two-dozen cars along the I-96 corridor, injuring one man. He faces 60 charges in Oakland County alone.

Police and prosecutors believe he is the person responsible for a series of shooting along a Mid-Michigan highway in October. The two dozen shootings spanned four counties and a 100-mile stretch of road.

Raulie Casteel was found competent to stand trial Wednesday in a case headed by the state attorney general.

An exam date was set for March 1st in Oakland County.
