LANSING,
Mich. (WLNS) - Sunday CBS will host the Super Bowl against the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. For most, the time is spent with friends and food, a fact that has some local businesses gearing up for extra business.
"The two hours leading up to the game and then
up until half time its two of the busiest hours of the year for
delivery," said Manager Jeremy Bates of Pizza House in East Lansing.
In just those two hours, the Pizza House estimates they'll deliver around 600 pizzas. Bates even says people start pre-ordering on Friday and Saturday and they'll have extra drivers and staff on hand to tackle it all.
Over at Reno's West in Lansing, they say Sunday will be as busy as a Friday night during the summer.
"We have double of the staff lined up probably even more than last year. We are expecting great turn out this year," said Manager Lauren Kenczyk of Reno's West.
Plus the 12 new HD TV's they have this year will surely help.
"We have some fun promos lined up and some new products we're going to
showcase for our guests and of course specials," said Kenczyk.
Here's some tips to keep in mind. If you're throwing a party:
- Police suggest to stop serving alcohol at the of the third quarter
- Program numbers for local cab numbers in your phone
- Designate a sober driver even before kick-off
