LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A Lansing man accused in the brutal shooting death of Shayla Johnson has pleaded guilty to homicide in federal court. According to the Ingham County Prosecutor, Nicholas Brown and his defense team worked out a deal that could send Brown to prison for up to 25 years if a judge agrees to that.
Brown and seven other men were charged in Johnson's murder, which happened nearly three years ago. Two are set for a July trial in a Grand Rapids federal court.
