Lansing's Second Gun Buy Back to be Held Saturday


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing's second gun buy back program, "Guns for Groceries" is set for Saturday.

$15,000 total has been raised for the event. Lansing Police will use the donated money to pass out Meijer gift cards to people who bring in operable firearms. They will give $50 for long guns, $100 for hand guns and $150 for assault rifles.

Handguns taken to the event must be enclosed in a clear plastic container and long guns safely sealed in a case. Make sure all firearms are unloaded and transported correctly.

The event starts at 10a.m. on Saturday at the Tabernacle of David Church, near Holmes and Pleasant Grove.
