Luncheon Honoring Murdered Lansing Woman Benefits LPD


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -Family members celebrated a Lansing woman who was murdered's 82nd birthday. The annual chilil and soup lunch and dinner was at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Building.

Lansing Community Activist Ruth Hallman was murdered back in 2007. She's the mother of Lansing City Council woman, Carol Wood.

The money raised goes to the Lansing Police Department to help fund overtime.

Hallman's birthday party fundraiser lasts until 7:00 pm. at IBEW 665 at 5205 S. Pennsylvania. The suggested donation is 10 dollars.
