Two In Custody For Stolen Donation Jar


HOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) - Two people who Livingston County officials believe stole a donation jar are now in custody thanks to a tip to police.

Deputies say around 9:30 Saturday night a married couple entered a Howell 7-11 and stole the donation jar.

Officialssay the man is a parolee with several outstanding warrants. The child shown in the surveillance video has been turned-over to family members.

The jar was collecting money for a child with Downs Syndrome who's in need of surgery.

There is no word yet on whether the donation money was recovered.
