CONCORD, Mich. (WLNS) - A 19-year-old man is charged with killing his mother, Robin Grow, 44, in Jackson County on Wednesday night. The assistant prosecuting attorney Jennifer Walker used the word "horrendous" to describe the crime scene.
David Grow has been charged with "brutally" stabbing and killing his mother under open murder charges.
It happened around 7 p.m. on the 200 block of Center Street in Concord, about a half hour west of Jackson.
Police responded to a call and found Robin dead at the family's home. Robin's husband came home to find his wife dead.
At the arraignment Thursday, the prosecutor asked that Grow be sent for a forensic evaluation stating the horrendous crime scene was indicative of some type of mental illness.
Officials aren't releasing specific details about the case, as the incident remains under investigation.
He's currently being held without bond.
