EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Andrew Singler, 23, from Suburban Detroit died in the early morning hours on Sunday, after an attack in an apartment near Hagadorn and Lake Lansing. Now, his girlfriend's younger brother has been charged with open murder.

McCowan's attorney wouldn't comment on the case, other than saying it was "a sensitive situation." He is expected back in court next week for his preliminary hearing.

He is being held without bond.
