Info on Injured Dog Brings Officials to Craigslist

Posted:

INGHAM COUNTY, Mich. (WLNS) - Ingham County Animal Control officials are asking for help, as they sort through new leads in the case of a small dog abandoned in a park with a stab wound to the neck.

Officials say they have had about 20 leads, one that led to Craigslist. They say it's possible there was a post on Craigslist that had a 6 to 7-year-old Pomeranian listed. In the ad it said, "must go by Saturday." They say it sounds like it was put up the week before the injured dog was abandoned in Hunter Park.

The dog was found Saturday, February 9th. She had a large cut across the front of her neck. Officials also say it's possible the dog came from Clifford Street in Lansing, based on several reports from people who say they saw her there.

Officials are working with Craigslist to try and find the ad.

If you have any information or saw the dog, call the shelter at 517-676-8376. The reward for any information leading to an arrest is at $1,200 now thanks to donations.
