Dixon to Visit Tallahassee on way to Finishing the 1000-mile Journey

Springfield, MO (PRWEB) February 27, 2013

Paraplegic cyclist Rich Dixon continues his two-month, 1,000-mile hand cycling tour through Florida to raise awareness and funds to support international aid organization Convoy of Hope’s work to feed impoverished children around the world. Upcoming stops include Tallahassee.

Dixon calls The Florida Hope Tour 2013 the “continuation of a dream” that began in 2011 when he took a hand cycle trip along the Mississippi River that started in Itasca, Minn., and ended in New Orleans, La., raising $60,000 for Convoy of Hope.

After beginning the journey on January 29, Dixon has been traveling up Florida’s western coast. “It’s not about what you can’t do, it’s about what you can do,” says Dixon, when describing his journey. “We’re capable of so much more than we believe we’re capable of.”
