Man Goes to Trial After Allegedly Stealing Donation Jar


HOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) - A Howell Township man is in court facing criminal charges Thursday.

Police say he and his wife stole a donation jar from a Livingston county 7-11. According to our media partners WHMI, Michael Cory was on parole for a previous retail fraud conviction. His wife, Tena Cory appeared in court Wednesday. Her case is now headed to trial.

Michael is due back in court next week for a preliminary exam.

The donation jar was set out for a girl in Arkansas with Down Syndrome who needed money to have surgery.
