Disabled Veterans Receive Free Licenses

After March 1st disabled military veterans can receive free hunting and fishing licenses under a new state law.

The licenses will be available through retail agents and online with proof of eligibility.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs defines a disabled veteran as someone who was permanently and totally disabled as a result of military service. The disabled veteran who has entitled veterans benefits at the one 100% rate.

People who are not permanently and totally disabled as a result of military service, but is legally blind, can still receive their fishing licenses at senior rates.
