Police Look for Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a woman late Thursday night.

Officers say it happened just after 11:30p.m. in the area of Ray and Riley Streets. That's where a 32-year-old woman was walking when a man pulled up to her and asked for money. When the woman refused, the man grabbed her and tried to steal her purse. The woman was then assaulted by the suspect.

The woman described the assailant as a dark skinned Hispanic or light skinned black man, 20-25 years old, 5'10" – 6'0" tall, with a thin build and a goatee. He was wearing a dark winter hat, dark zip up hooded-jacket, jeans and tan work boots.
