Four Arrested in Connection to a Meth Lab


IONIA, Mich. (WLNS) - The Central Michigan Enforcement Team (CMET) arrested four people after discovering a meth lab in the City of Ionia.

It happened at a home on E. Main St. Thursday. The residence was previously condemned by the Ionia County Health department for lack of running water. Clean up and disposal of the labs were handled by certified methamphetamine personnel.  

Matthew Aaron Smith, 22, Cory Beebe, 22 and Adam Sears, 22, are all charged with manufacturing meth. Chelsea Bauer, 22, is charged with running and operating/maintaining a lab involving meth.

The four men are being lodged at the Ionia County Jail with additional arrests and charges pending.

The case remains open and under investigation.
