Bill To Check On Bridge Cards Moves Forward

Posted:

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - A bill is on it's way to the full House that would crack down on food assistance to dead people.

Last week, a House committee approved the measure that requires the State Department of Human Services to check the social security index monthly to make sure Bridge Card users are still alive.

Bridge Cards are used like debit cards for state food assistance and cash programs.
