Early Morning Accident Sends One to Hospital

STOCKBRIDGE, Mich. (WLNS) - Ingham county sheriff's officials believe alcohol and speed played a factor in an early morning accident.

It happened just after 2a.m. on M-106 south of Stockbridge.

Deputies say the 25-year-old driver lost control of her SUV and hit a tree. She was pinned in for about an hour and a half before crews could free her.

The woman was flown to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Though her injuries were not known, she is expected to survive.
