Police Search for Armed Bank Robber

BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say robbed a PNC bank.

It happened around 9:40a.m. Monday on the 8000 block of W. Grand River Ave. in Brighton Township.

The man supposedly entered the bank with a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money, then left. A K-9 unit tracked him, but lost his trail.

Witnesses say a white male, around 5'6" with a small stature, entered the bank wearing a dark, baggie hoodie with tan designs, dark wind breaker pants and dark gloves. They say the coat had unique black/blue and white stripes around the elbows. He was also wearing a scarf around his mouth and sunglasses.

If anyone can identify the suspect, you're urged to contact Det. Jim McGinty at 517-540-7999 or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
