Mid-Michigan Gun Store Owner Attacked

SAGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a robber attacked and critically injured a mid-Michigan gun store owner.

Investigators responded Monday afternoon at Guns and Stuff in Gladwin County's Sage Township, about 90 miles north of Lansing.

MLive.com says that Richard Robinette was hospitalized in critical condition.

Authorities initially were called to Robinette's property on a report of a shooting. His home and a shed where the gun business is conducted are on the property.

The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives is assisting the investigation.

Authorities haven't said if they know whether the attacker took any firearms, but the federal agency is offering a reward for recovery of any weapons as well as for leads on the culprit.
