Local Basketball Fans Give 'Bracketology Breakdown'

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – As Michigan State's 70-48 win over Memphis advances the team to the Sweet Sixteen round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, some local fans are holding onto hope that their team will go all the way.

"Michigan State's got to go through Duke and Louisville, then they're going to go to the Final Four," says Michigan State fan, Matt Wilson. "Here's my pick here and now: Michigan State and Miami [with] Michigan State winning it all."

But some Spartan fans say they're taking a more ‘realistic' approach to their brackets.

"I have Michigan State going down to Duke in the Sweet Sixteen," says Louis Stephens. "It's a tough battle against Duke just because of Kelly coming back for Duke…I think that they're a good team, and I think they're going to fall to Louisville."

Eight-year-old Ryan Kientz says he predicts Michigan State will go all the way to the national championship, but will fall to Indiana.
