Police Investigate Afternoon Bank Robbery

OKEMOS, Mich. (WLNS) - Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday afternoon.

It happened on the 2100 block of Hamilton Road at the Independent Bank in Okemos just before noon.

Police say a white man entered the bank and gave a teller a note. The teller gave the suspect money and he then fled.

K9 units with LPD and MSP tracked the suspect to a nearby parking lot, but lost his trail and remains missing.

He is described as a white male in his mid-20s, around 5'10" with a thin build and  possibly brown hair. He wore a black driving cap, mirrored sunglasses, a black dress coat, khaki pants and white Nike athletic shoes.
