Former U.S. Rep. Speaks in Lansing On Mental Health


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Former U.S. Representative Patrick Kennedy was in Lansing Tuesday to talk about mental health.

He shared his own struggles with depression and bipolar disorder. Kennedy is working with Governor Rick Snyder to make mental health a priority in the state.

The ex-congressman has co-sponsored several bills aimed at increasing the understanding and treatment of mental health issues.
