Welcoming 90 Soldiers Home

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - Family and friends have given a warm welcome home to 90 Michigan Army National Guard soldiers who spent 10 months on duty in Afghanistan.

WXMI-TV says hundreds of people turned out Thursday afternoon out to greet members of the Augusta-based 1433rd Engineer Company at Western Michigan University Reed Fieldhouse in Kalamazoo.

The company is part of the 507th Engineering Battalion. MLive.com says its members are among the more than 700 Michigan Army National Guard soldiers and airmen deployed worldwide.
