Livingston County Team Seeks to Solve 1983 Killing

HOWELL, Mich. (AP) - The Livingston County sheriff's department cold case team is working to solve the unsolved killing of a 19-year-old woman whose body was found in 1983 at the Oak Grove State Game Area.

Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte says the team met Monday to discuss "old suspects and new information" in the death of Christina Castiglione. The Livingston County Daily Press & Argus of Howell reports investigators have located two people to be interviewed.

Bezotte tells WHMI-FM the team is following up on leads.

Bezotte was the lead detective on investigation into Castiglione's death. He's said that Castiglione was with friends in a vehicle but had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend and wanted out of the car. Her body was found 30 years ago on March 29, 1983.
