Jackson County To Charge For STD Testing

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) - Starting in June, any Jackson County residents who needs to be tested for a sexually transmitted disease will have to pay for it.

According to our media partners at MLive, those tests used to be free, but starting Tuesday, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners voted to start charging. County residents will be charged a $10 fee and others will pay $36 for men and $56 for women.

Officials say people from other areas and out of state were coming in to get them.
