Body Found In Roadside Ditch

FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says he will discuss the investigation surrounding the death of a 27-year-old Flint woman whose body was found near a Monroe County roadway.

A media briefing is scheduled Friday morning at Leyton's office in Flint. His office hasn't said what is new in the case.

Tanisha Colton was last seen March 13.

Family and friends had been searching Genesee County for her until a motorist found Colton's body March 25 in a roadside ditch in Monroe County's Ash Township. The site is about 70 miles south-southeast of Flint.

State police had said the death was being treated as a homicide. Initially, a person was taken into custody but not charged in the case.

Colton was a mother of three.
