MSU Wraps Up 10-day Science Festival

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- The inaugural "Science Festival" wrapped up at Michigan State University this afternoon.

The week-long event included activites for people of all ages and interest.

Today's activities included a spring show and plant sale, a presentation on biology in tropical forests and an art presentation on DNA.

"We had a wonderful turnout and a fabulous range of presentations and we really couldn't be happier," said MSU Science Festival Coordinator Renee Leone. "We weren't sure with the weather, but we had thousands of happy Michiganders attend throughout the week and it was wonderful."

Organizers said the festival was such a success that they want to make it an annual event.
