Man Charged With Allegedly Seriously Injuring Girlfriend's Son


OWOSSO, Mich. (WLNS) - An Owosso man is in police custody charged with first degree child abuse.

Erik Macklin is facing charges in connection with serious injury to his girlfriend's two year old boy. Police say the child received "life threatening injuries" while in Macklin's care, including a fractured skull.

The child is still in the hospital, but is expected to recover.

If convicted, Macklin could face life in prison.
