Celebrations for Arbor Day Underway



LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Arbor Day celebrations are under-way across mid-Michigan Friday. 1,100 elementary students are at Potter Park Zoo for hands on activities, learning about soil, water, wild life and the importance of trees.



The cities of Lansing and East Lansing will also be celebrating. The Consul General for Japan in Detroit will be in Lansing to help plant a Japanese Blossoming Cherry tree in Riverfront Park.
