Woman Behind Bars for Stealing from City Finance Dept.


ADRIAN, Mich. (WLNS) - An Adrian woman is behind bars accused of stealing from the city's finance department.

Katie Lynne Maliszewsk, 29, was arraigned on three felony counts. Maliszewski allegedly stole cash that people paid on water bills, parking tickets and tax bills. Customers were given a receipt, however, the money was never credited to their account.

Money was reported missing from numerous transactions Maliszewski had managed over an eight month period.

She's accused of stealing over $5,000 in total.
