Maureen didn't start off in the news business, and so she's thrilled to finally be here.
After earning her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, she moved to New York City where she began a career in human resources. Her career took her from a Bronx hospital to a Chicago consulting firm. In a leap of faith, Maureen decided to go for her dream job – broadcast reporting.
She gained professional experience at NBC Chicago, WCIU Chicago and a nightly news show based in Northwest Indiana. Her video and print stories have been published on national news websites including Good Morning America and USA Today. In 2012 she graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with her master's degree and decided it was time to come home.
Maureen grew up in Metro Detroit and is proud to be reporting for WLNS Lansing/Jackson. She worked her way back home and couldn't be happier to have landed in Jackson – a big city with a small town feel.
She spends most of her free time pampering her bulldog, Max. And although she roots for any team playing against Ohio State, she remains a die-hard maize and blue fan. Maureen and her dad make it back to U of M's "Big House" for a game every year.
