Officials Warn Churches About Possible Thefts

Posted:

GRANT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Officials are urging mid-Michigan churches to take precautions against possible thefts following a break-in at a Jehovah's Witness hall.

MLive.com says the break-in at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Clare County's Grant Township was reported Monday.

Investigators say at least one person entered the building about 80 miles north of Lansing looking for cash or valuables.

The sheriff's department says they want to make sure others aren't targeted. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police.
