Snyder Appoints Eaton Co. Prosecuting Attorney to Circuit Court Judge


LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Governor Rick Snyder announced Thursday he will appoint Eaton County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Sauter to 56th Circuit Court judge.

Sauter will take the place of Judge Calvin Osterhaven.

Snyder said in a release, "Jeff Sauter has been a model prosecutor in Eaton County for more than 20 years and I am confident he will continue his exemplary service as judge."

This means there will also be an opening for Eaton County prosecutor.

Snyder also appointed Arthur Cotter of St. Joseph to the 5th District Court in Berrien County.
