LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Lansing Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a bicyclist then sped off.

It happened around 11:30 Monday night, about 100 yards from Sparrow Hospital. Police say the 69-year-old biker was riding in the road, possibly crossing the intersection of Pennsylvania and Michigan Avenue when he was hit.

The man died an hour later at Sparrow.

Police are looking for a light blue Chevy Cruze with possible front-end damage, believed to be involved in the accident. They don't know how fast the driver was going or if he was driving out of control. Officials say they are searching the area for any surveillance video that either captured the accident or a shot of the car just before or after it happened.

If you have any details please call: Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600 or Crime Stoppers at 517-483-STOP. There is up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
