Michigan Red Cross Chapters Ready to Help

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - The Mid-Michigan Red Cross chapter is on stand-by to head out west and help those hit by the storms in Oklahoma.

Mid-Michigan Red Cross spokesperson, Todd Kulman says his volunteers are just waiting for the call to help, but so far, no requests have been made to the 26 Michigan chapters.

"The video I've seen is just awful and I don't think they quite know everything about what's happening," said Kulman.

In the coming days, volunteers will be on the ground assessing the damage, deciding where and what kind of additional support is necessary, and determining the needs of the affected communities.

If you would like to donate to the Red Cross, we have a list of resources for you here.
