Police Say Sisters Masterminded Crime

Police believe two sisters are the brains behind a home invasion in Holt earlier this month.

Police say two Lansing men broke into a home in the 1800 block of Schoolcraft, tied-up the homeowner, and stole guns and jewelery.

Now two women - 36-year old Jamie Phillips and 38-year-old Jennifer Phillips - face charges in the case.

They appeared in court Thursday morning and were formally charged with armed robbery, safe breaking, home invasion, unlawful imprisonment, larceny of a firearm, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and possession of burglary tools.

A judge set Jamie Phillips bond at $50,000 and Jennifer Phillips bond at $75,000.

The two men also face charges.
