180 Pounds Of Hazardous Waste Found At Meth Lab

Police say they found almost 200 pounds of hazardous materials after they busted a meth lab in Lansing.

It happened on Wednesday night in a house along Valencia Street on the city's south side. They had received a tip earlier that day.

Officers from the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad say the meth makers specialized in the "one pot" method, where the ingredients to make meth are mixed together at once.

They say they found remnants from 25 such reactions, along with 62 gas generators used to help make meth, and 180 pounds of hazardous waste.

Officers say they have several suspects and continue to investigate.

The meth bust was one of three in the last two days in mid-Michigan. Sam Levitt will have more on the story tonight on 6 News at 6.
