Homicide on Lansing's South Side

Cop cars were on the scene of Centerfolds strip club on Pennsylvania Avenue around 2 a.m. on Sunday.

"There was caution tape around the Centerfolds wrapped around the sign and I'm guessing around the side door," said Diane Swanson, owner of Classic Coin Laundry next door.

Police found a 21-year-old man in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead.

The police have a couple of leads but do not have a suspect in custody and are asking for your help.

"We're still pleading for the public to give us any information they may have no matter how small or how large or how critical they think it may be," said Captain Daryl Green from the Lansing Police Department

Police won't say where the man was shot as the autopsy has not been completed. Investigators are not releasing the name of the victim until their family has been notified.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (517)-483-STOP, or send an anonymous tip to 847411. Begin your text with LPD517 before leaving your message.
