Suspect Arrested For Attempted Armed Robbery

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS)- One man is behind bars in Jackson County after police say he attempted to rob two teens that were walking through the parking lot of Taco Bell.

It happened shortly before 10 P.M. at the Taco Bell on East Michigan Avenue in Blackman Township Sunday night.

Officials say the teens were approached by the suspect and asked for money and pulled out a cutting type instrument from his waistband. The teens ran into the restaurant, and employees inside called 9-1-1.

The 33-year-old suspect reportedly fled on his bicycle, but officials say he was apprehended a short time later on Key Street.
