Homeowner Assaulted During Break In

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS)- For the second time in two days police in Jackson say a pair of men forced their way into a home, assaulted the homeowner, and got away with several items.

The most recent case happened early Friday morning in the 700 block of North West Avenue.

Officials say that two men forced open the back door of the home, hit a man inside over the head with a gun, then stole cash and a television.

This is very similar to a reported home invasion early Thursday morning, though police don't believe they're related.
