Local Law Enforcement Has An App

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)- Ingham county officials want to be sure you know about a new mobile application that can help keep you safe and informed about law enforcement issues.

The application is called Mobile Patrol, and its free.

If you have an apple or android phone just search for Mobile Patrol in Google play or the app store and then select the sheriff's department you want.

With the application you can see who's been arrested and being held in the county jail, get a list of crime stoppers most wanted people, and even report a crime.

Officials say that it's a great new tool. "Technology has basically has expanded the sheriffs office from expanding the current amount of deputies that we have out on the road... To every civilian that supports law enforcement," said Major Sam Davis, Ingham County Sheriff's Department.

Ingham County, Eaton County and Jackson County are all available in the Mobile Patrol app.
