Officials Call Apartment Fire Suspicious

DEWITT, Mich. (WLNS)- An apartment fire in Dewitt that left 23 people without a home, is now being called "suspicious."

Investigators believe someone may have intentionally started the fire Sunday in the Alana Woods Apartment Complex.

Flames were first spotted shortly after 3 A.M. at the complex near the intersection of Old 27 and Clark Road.

12 units were destroyed in the fire and the red cross has been helping the families that have been displaced.
