Sparrow To Break Ground In St. Johns

ST. JOHNS, Mich. (WLNS)- Sparrow hospital officials broke ground Tuesday morning in St. Johns, to build a new Emergency Services Department.

The hospital plans to build a 5.4 million dollar department that will help with the rising number of emergency room patients.

The original emergency room was designed to manage only 8,000 patients per year, but over the past few years that number has risen to more than 14,000 annual visits.
