Semi Driver Stable After I-96 Crash

IONIA, Mich. (WLNS)- Officials say the driver of a semi involved in Monday's crash on I-96 in Ionia County is in stable condition.

The 42-year-old Chicago man underwent surgery after he was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital.

The crash involved two semi trucks and a bus. There were 25 people on the bus but the semi driver was the only person with serious injuries.

The crash closed part of the freeway for several hours.
