Fire Closes M-21 For Several Hours

IONIA, Mich. (WLNS)- A fire in Ionia County left M-21 closed during part of Tuesday night while crews controlled the blaze.

It happened shortly before 11:30 P.M. at the United Sign Company on Bluewater Highway.

Investigators believe the fire started in the rear of the business but currently are not sure what caused it.

M-21 reopened shortly after 3 A.M and it was a combined effort from Saranac, Orlins and Berlin-Orange Township crews to put out the fire.
